Greater Rome Area Community Enterprises, Inc. was formed in 2004 under the direction of Appalachian Community Enterprises, Inc. with grant funding from Georgia Microenterprise Network. The organization was formed with former business owners, homemakers, pastors, and community leaders. The purpose of starting this organization was to provide micro-enterprise training and development for people with low-to-moderate income.
Through the years we have grown, slowed down and picked up our pace again to offer services to Rome, GA and surrounding counties. Our target area includes Floyd, Bartow, Gordon, Polk, Haralson, and Paulding counties. We also serve other areas upon request and we offer online services.
Classes consist of One Page Business Planning, FDIC’s MoneySmart, Financial Literacy for your Microenterprise and Lifeskills Training.
Upon completion of an 8 week program, students complete an effective business plan to assist them in their efforts to obtain a microloan for their business.
